A Date With A Woman

After 21 years of marriage, Tom's wife suggested that he take another woman out to dinner and a movie. Much to his surprise, the woman his wife had in mind was his mother, a widow for the past 19 years. Despite his busy work schedule and three children, Tom agreed to the outing and called his mother to invite her. Nervous but excited, Tom drove to pick up his mother on the designated evening. When he arrived at her house, he noticed that she seemed nervous as well, dressed in a special dress and with her hair styled. She greeted Tom with a smile and they set off for a cozy restaurant. During their meal, Tom and his mother enjoyed a pleasant conversation, catching up on each other's lives. They talked so much that they missed their movie, but neither of them seemed to mind. As they arrived back at his mother's house, she told Tom that she would love to go out with him again, but only if he allowed her to pay next time. Tom agreed. When Tom returned home, his wife asked about the date and he told her it was very nice and more than he could have hoped for. A few days later, Tom's mother passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Among his mother's belongings, Tom found an envelope with a copy of the restaurant receipt and a note saying that she had paid in advance, just in case she wasn't able to make it. The note also expressed her love for Tom and reminded him of the importance of telling his loved ones "I love you" and giving them the time and attention they deserve. The experience left Tom with a newfound appreciation for the value of family and the importance of cherishing every moment with his loved ones. Thank you & have a relaxed day !!!
